This restaurant offers a diverse selection of sandwiches in three sizes: small (4 inches), medium (8 inches), and large (12 inches). They take pride in their origin, having been founded by firefighters. As a way to support charitable causes, they round up purchases to the nearest dollar. The decor resembles that of a cozy fire station, and it’s clear that the menu items are inspired by the long days experienced by firefighters.
Slowest place for lunch. I ordered 2 sandwiches, a regular and a gluten-free and it took 20 minutes to make them. This will wait after 10 minutes to place the order.
The sandwich was severely lacking in meat—it had far less than what I expected. It was also overloaded with mayonnaise; the picture shows just a small bit of what I had to scrape off. Overall, it wasn't worth the price I paid, and I definitely won't be eager to eat here again.
I love firehouse subs, I've never had a bad sandwich. I'm not sure why it's taking an hour to get a couple sandwiches though. The place is packed with people waiting and the staff behind the counter is meandering around. I would love to say that there's a little bit of hustle, but there's not. Literally an hour wait, potential customers are walking out. I am sure that it will be delicious when I do get it though, so 3 stars.
