Bidra med feedbackWe visited this past Saturday afternoon to explore crepe options nearby. We were disappointed in the service and communication from our waiter. The bread was cold and hard. The la viande crepe with duck was delicious. The grilled octopus had an odd taste. The fried calamari was average. We were also surprised by the price of the octopus compared to the portion. Overall, we did not have a good experience during our lunch here.
Great crepes, worth going there for those. Just OK dessert (I'll skip it next time).
Planchette is one of my favorite restaurants. It's loud and bustling on busy weekends with a relaxed casual atmosphere. And if you're lucky, you'll be there for their accordion player. Maybe not the best place for a quiet date night, but perfect for a fun evening with friends. And the food is fantastic. Straightforward and simple renditions of French comfort classics. Escargot, Croque Monsieur, Mussels, Steak Frites, Coq au Vin. All delicious and simply executed. I absolutely love their crepes, our favorite is the braised short rib. But on my last visit I tried the smoked trout and it was wonderful. And you also can't go wrong with their dessert crepes (banana Nutella is the best).
We were sat a makeshift table that was totally lost for service. The salad was a mere half a plate of arugula. I ordered a bronzino that they filleted in front of a table across the room and screamed across the restaurant at us if I wanted lemon. We were totally forgotten. Noise level was crazy high. There seemed to be no manager or host to assure proper service.
Very nice French themed atmosphere with posters and accordion player. Our waiter( I think Fernando) very professional and attentive. Lobster bisque appetizer very good. My French onion soup too bland. Wife's Mediterranean crepe was excellent and my mushroom and spare rib crepe was very good. Crème brûlée excellent and my cheesecake very good. Prices very reasonable. We will be going back soon.
