Bidra med feedbackMy husband and I recently visited family in Amaroni. We were delighted to find A Casa da Nanna around the corner from our rented apartment. We stumbled upon it on a rainy, windy Sunday evening and kept coming back! The owner, Mariano, has converted his grandmother's home into a first floor bread bakery and a second floor restaurant. We entered a cozy, homey space, warmed by a wood-burning stove. The restaurant was rustic and welcoming. We were made to feel at home by Mariano and his staff....and the food was superb! We were treated to braciole that tasted exactly as those made by my grandmother many years ago. It was very difficult to chose from the assortment of panini offered, all made with Mariano's delicious bread. We returned the following night to an equally delicious meal and wonderful company. On our last night in Amaroni, Mariano treated us to an amazing meal of Calabrese specialties. It was delicious! I cannot say enough about A Casa da Nanna....from the host, the chef, the food...it was a highlight of our trip. We are back in Boston now and wishing that this restaurant was around our corner!
An informal place where you eat genuine food served with grace by Mariano prepared and kind person, a fun evening with good food and good company, a beautiful experience to try, highly recommended
