The Lost Cajun - Amarillo

Felt like I was in SW La. Amazingly good. Excellent selection. CLEAN as in the dining room, the kitchen and bathrooms (and this was at dinner after a busy day). Our waitress was new, her first job and plausibly her first week. She could not have tried harder or done better. The owner watches everything. Works hard and her team are in lock step. The redfish, gumbo, red beans rice were out of this world. The sampler plate is a real treat

Gator bites over fried ,steak over cooked, the waitress was nice. The owner/cook seemed to be in a mood, we told them our Issue with the steak, And told them we didn't want anything and they made us an extra one anyways, We didn't take it, But as soon as I got home. I threw up everything. Oysters on the shell tasted a bit old. They didn't offer a discount or anything, We hardly ate anything on our plate, Everything is over season. It was my first time and last time I will never go there again. Nor will I recommend it.

Absolutely the worst dining experience I have ever experienced. We had traveled 9 hours with our grandkids and this looked encouraging for takeout as we were weary. The grandson ordered a gator po boy. It was 3 pieces of completely overcooked meat of some sort on a dry bun. Inedible. The fried dishes were indistinguishable from one another. The lobster bisque was tomato soup with a gram of flavoring and was the best of this mess. Etouffee was terrible. Well you get the picture. This food was just fuel. If you love grossly oversalted fuel, then this is the place for you.

This place was pretty good, but nothing spectacular. The place was a little gimmicky and the music gets a little obnoxious after awhile. The food was a mixed bag but, generally good. The catfish was pretty good but the accompanying rice and sauce was very savory and a little mushy. Together, the meal was good. The lobster bisque was quite nice however, I personally found it to have a strange sweet flavour. Adding some hot sauce weakened that flavour and made it taste very good. However, the only flop for me was the hushpuppies. For being 3$, I was given 4 dense lumps. They were okay and had a very good flavour, but I wouldnt recommend. The whole meal was 45$ which is a good price. Our server was incredibly nics and friendly. In generally, I may go back but I would get different things.Wheelchair accessibility: I dont use a wheelchair but this place would be 100% accessible for a wheelchair user
