The Hotdog Hut - Amarillo

I was looking for a place for lunch conveniently located in the downtown Amarillo area and discovered this place. Immediately the smell of barbecue caught my attention. Hotdogs were delicious but I had to sample the barbecue and when I say this I don't say this lightly I've tried BBQ all across Texas including the kings of BBQ... The brisket is a solid contender and the ribs are definitely in my top 5 but the turkey is number one hands down! Who would've thought a hotdog hut would deliver on so much more!

Has the best hot dogs and food at a great price! The staff is very friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend to other people. I've brought my family and friends here to eat and they love it as well.

I am NOT a big hotdog fan, so for a perfect score from someone like ME should speak for itself, but here goes....:Decor/Designer at this show in Amarillo in March and the guys are going for dogs like three days in a row, so on the second day I tag along. It's burger special day. Sick burger, but the dogs look amazing. So on day three I get a chili cheese, forgetting they do the nacho cheese, NOT shredded cheese melted, so I was a bit disappointed NOT because THEY were bad. No, I ordered wrong.For four months it haunted me. Finally, Amarillo gig calls and I'm so in. Got to town Friday night. Had to wait ALL weekend till Monday for THE BEST SAUERKRAUT AND MUSTARD DOG EVER.L8R

One of my favorite lunch spots. Awesome staff, fairly priced menu, and lots of variety of hotdogs styles.

I've been in Amarillo now for 3 days for training.And holy shmokes guys!I was very pleasantly surprised!I ordered the 2 meat sandwich.I had the spicy jalapeño sausage the chopped beef brisket.That sandwich itself was well put together with four half sausages and a about of 1/4 pound of chopped beef brisket.The sandwich itself had a smokey flavore throughout the whole experience. The sausage had a nice little kick The BBQ sauce was sweet and delicious.I'll probably be back everyday for lunch until my training is complete.
