Bidra med feedbackThe restaurant is housed in a traditional granite house. The service is fantastic and dynamic. Traditional Portuguese food, prepared as if it were at home... The selection of Portuguese wines is good. Excellent value for money!!!
This lovely, family run restaurant aims to please. The owner, Aderito, his wife and staff all made certain our visit to their restaurant was enjoyable. We arrived in early afternoon and it was hot outside. We were walked through each of the rooms in the restaurant until we found the right table. Music was blasting and all were having fun. We decided it was too loud for our liking and decided to leave. Not. The staff made certain the live music was put on mute while we ate. Once finished, the guitarist returned and asked us in English what music we would like to hear. Well after 30 minutes of American folk songs we were on our merry way. The €5.50 lunch special including main, soup and coffee were more than we could eat. Beef, fish or tripe were the choices. Well worth the price. On our way out we were stopped by Aderito as he wanted to make sure we enjoyed. After 15-20 minutes of friendly talk and joking we were on our way.....oh forgot to tell you that Aderito gave us all his lovely restaurant t-shirt for remembrance. Please don't ask for a t-shirt as it was a personal surprise. Enjoy!
The service was quick; food well served, very close to the town centre. Not very much choice, and few places to seat.
Small place full of locals. We popped in late on about 10pm. There was no problem being seated even though they were pretty busy. The owner told us what he had on that evening there were three or four things to choose from. We opted to share a very large piece of veal with chips and salad. We also asked for a bottle of white wine which was delicious The meal was superb. Fairly simple, nothing fancy with the presentation, but extremely tasty and plenty of it. We were also served a couvert of bread, olives, cheese and dried meat. Pretty filling in itself. the whole bill including the wine was 26 euros. Friendly service too. I would definitely go back.
I've had lunch there on a sunday, believing in an advertisement they had put on the sidewalk saying they had a 5.50 euro menu including soup, a main dish (to be selected from a choice of 3), bread and drink. Before sitting, I asked the waiter if the menu was valid and he said it was. However, after having ordered the food we realized it was a lie, so we actually ended payng 10.50 euro for NO soup, NO bread, a big bottle of water and a portion of roasted veal. After complaining to the waiter, he said everyone is supposed to know that this kind of menus only works on weekdays, even though there was no reference to this fact on the advertisement they had put on the sidewalk (I took a photo of it, just in case). About the food, the veal meat was terrible: dry, obviously reheated, swimming in a huge quantity of olive oil. The rice was undercooked. Only roasted potatoes were good but soaked in that olive oil. So, my advice is to avoid this restaurant and try another one. It's a pity some people persist in this kind of tourist trap behaviour...
