This is a fantastic restaurant if you are looking to impress anyone on a date, or business. It's beautiful (the smoking area is outdoors setting with beautiful lights, not too smoky) The inside is very beautiful and classy. Food wise, the kitchen is spectacular. I order a pasta with beef ragu and fresh mint, THE BEST I EVER HAD.. my clients ordered fish and lamb, both great choices. Arugula salad with strawberries and balsamic dressing is full of flavors... dessert is a must! try the figs, canolini and the sorbet. TIP: make sure you ask for the price of the wine before you order from the ones recommended, as they will try to sell the more expensive, nothing wrong with that, because they are delicouse, just dont be surprised with a bottle's price tag.
Generally, this is a good Italian restaurant. It 's signature dish is the pasta with butter and black truffle. I was recently there on a work-related lunch. Everyone ordered the pasta with truffle but were told by our server that they had run out of truffle. A person in my party complained and asked for another pasta dish but requested that another variety of pasta be used. The chef refused to make this simple change but he apparently found some truffle and offered the pasta with truffle instead. It is beyond me why they would lie about running out of truffle. Maybe they were saving it for favored customers... They had enough to serve everyone at our table, yet they didn 't feel like it. All the other dishes we ordered were underwhelming. Not good considering this place is really expensive. Won 't be going back.
The decor is charming! We had dinner on a Thursday and i recommend making a reservation. Everyone enjoyed his/her meal!! We all had a fish appetizer and entree. They were all delicious! The house made ice cream sealed the meal (along with the cannoli)!!
Stay away from this spot if you are staying at the Westin. Sat down on a Sunday evening and were the only table in the restaurant. Ordered two glasses of red wine and looked through the menu. After they poured us the wine, they told us they could not accept Master Card or Visa because their system was down. I asked why they didn’t tell us this before we sat down as I only had my card. They said it had been down all day and they forgot. I explained that we could not eat there because I only had my card. They dropped a check for 800 pesos for two glasses of wine! For those who drink wine, you know that wine that cost that much is only served by the bottle in Mexico. No operator would chance opening a bottle and having it sit for 2 days before serving the rest of it at that price. Felt totally ripped off. I had to get up and grab the manager who was sitting at the bar on his phone and tell him it wasn’t acceptable. At that point he said the wine, which we didn’t drink, was on the house. We tipped our server and left. So many great restaurants in this areas, stay away from this place unless you are a local.
