Taffer’s Tavern – Alpharetta (downtown)

Always great food and vibe at this restaurant. The service seems to continuously have issues. We put our order in with the waiter and 20 mins later he came back to inform us someone threw away his notebook and we'd all have to reorder. No apology or other explanation. After dinner we had drinks at the bar. Our bartender was rude and extremely slow. He would take a drink order, go talk to the other bartenders then either make our drinks or come back to ask what we ordered again. Too bad because this is a great spot for food, sports, and atmosphere.

Great food, ambience and a waiter was great ! Wonderful location in downtown historic Alpharetta. After eating we walked over to take pictures in front of the Christmas tree. A great way to spend Christmas Eve.

This was Our first time here! My husband has been wanting to come here for so LONG!! The food was absolutely Amazing! The waiter, honestly was kind of terrible. We sat at the table maybe 15 minutes before someone came. We ordered drinks first round took about 15-20 mins. We ordered starters and they came out pretty fast. We ate, sat there again another 15-20 mins ordered another round of drinks, my husband and friends got theirs and mine “the cloud 9” it literally took 30 mins. Then a manager I believe came and gave me a $10 off coupon for next time because the waiter I believe forgot to put my drink order in the three times we asked about it. It was also my husbands birthday as I requested on the app. (Even spoke to the person who sat us) They didn't tell us which drink was free so then we were ready to pay and he told us it was not these drinks after they said he gets a free drink for his birthday (only the lost sea drink Or desert). Either way, food was amazing- service was kind of a disappointment.

The food, drinks, atmosphere service was amazing, 10 out of 10, BUT, I ordered the Bubble drink but our server try as he might) could not get the bubble to form atop the drink. I ordered it solely for the bubble but he was unable to produce it I was very sad. I couldnt take a pic of it like I wanted felt stupid for buying a $15 drink that just looked like an ordinary drink because my drink didn't have the feature that made it worth $15. It still tasted incredible but I'm a little bitter about it because it was what I'd been looking forward to the most : It's dumb but I was really disappointed. We were the only customers there so I felt like he could've kept trying, he had no other tables... Or he could've gotten the bartender to do it.. Caution to others to order “cute” Instagram worthy drinks at your own risk because you may not get everything you see in the picture. It will still taste amazing though. Side note, the wing skin was NOT crispy but I heated them up for 20 more minutes in the oven at home once they were crispy enough to try they tasted phenomenal lemon pepper). Best lemon pepper seasoning I've ever tasted. I also highly recommend the onion rings, fries tavern burger. The Campfire drink tastes just like Fireball. It's great because I like Fireball) but tastes exactly like Fireball just fyi...do with that what you will. The cocktail flight is the best thing on the menu that you HAVE to try. Comes with cute little souvenirs too.

Poutine was heavy. Short Rib was delish! Menu is full of varied options, but skip the side salad as it was nothing like their main menu items. Service was good until the end when our server had to be reminded to bring our to-go boxes, even though they weren't busy at that time.
