Bidra med feedbackWe had a wonderful Valentine's Day lunch at this restaurant. The weather was sunny and we were able to appreciate the view. The dishes were outstanding with something for everyone. Although the food took a bit long to arrive, the waiter apologized and we didn't mind at all. We wish the restaurant was open in the evenings, but it was still a great and fun mini getaway to UBC. We enjoyed walking around the campus afterwards.
Lunch at Sage was delicious with good vegetarian selections. The warm roasted vegetable salad was a standout. Note: Sage is only open for lunch and for special events.
The restaurant has a distinct University vibe, which gives it a casual and charming atmosphere. The food was tasty, but I was a bit disappointed to find that my entree had the same side dish as the appetizer we had ordered (cauliflower salad). Additionally, the dishes, glasses, and cutlery did not seem very clean. It's important to note that the kitchen closes at 2pm, so it's best to plan for a lunch no later than 1pm.
I would highly recommend Sage for a more upscale lunch option that still offers familiar dishes for my parents visiting from a smaller city. As someone with dietary restrictions (gluten-free and dairy-free), I always find delicious and suitable options on the menu. The service is consistently outstanding, with a special shout out to Patrick!
Restaurant has a university the feeling, not intimate, but that is part of the charm. the food was good, but my escape had the same side as what we had ordered for a starter (cauliflower salat). also the crooked, glass and cutlery were not particularly clean. the kitchen closes at 2 o'clock. so they plan a lunch no later than 1 o'clock.
