The Cuban Mix - Almonte

We ordered a Fish Taco and Cuban sandwich. The fish in the taco was small and served with a delicious salad all wrapped up. The Cuban sandwich had a few small strips of meat on the top and bottom of the bun, but the middle was empty. We didn't count the strips, but we estimate there were about 12. Unfortunately, the fries that came with the sandwich were not good, as they seemed to be cooked in old oil. Sadly, we will not be coming back to this restaurant.

Terrible experience. I ordered the burrito wrap expecting it to be filled with salsa and guacamole, but it only had a few chopped tomatoes. I was extremely disappointed. It cost $10 and I will never return to this restaurant.

My family and I made a stop at this restaurant. The closest things we found to Cuban cuisine were the fish tacos and the Cuban sandwich. Unfortunately, the fish tacos had very little fish and were overwhelmed by other ingredients. The Cuban sandwich also fell short, with very little meat and low quality ingredients. The sweet mustard and weak Swiss cheese didn't help. The best looking dish we ordered was the poutine. Oh well...

Being that this is a FOOD truck the FOOD is always fresh and tasty and the owner is very friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend.
