So we went to Almeria to explore a new area of Spain and away from the tourist crowds. We were not disappointed. We stayed in Costacabana area. I speak a bit of Spanish, so we were ok (just! . Nothing prepared me for the long menus of tapas however, traditional to Almeria, thank god Google Translate now exists as an offline app although it also struggled at times : Been to El Lagarto (Lizard twice. Service staff always excellent and patient with our Spanish : Considering that it's only one out of 4 eating places in this small area, food was good, avocado and tomato salad, nachos, calamari rings and chilli con carne were excellent. They observe siesta so dinner does not start until 8pm. Ask for an English menu if utterly lost and confused.

Hemos comido de la muerte, el servicio un 10, y eso estaba lleno, el precio en su medida. Volveré.
