La Baita Di Villalba - ALLERONA

Quickly become a family favourite, this restaurant (with rooms above) is located in Villalba National Park. A small menu serving locally sourced food that is simply prepared in a traditional fashion. Generous portions, so be careful not to over order! Excellent pasta dishes (with hare sauce; truffles; garlic chillies) etc; slow cooked boar; BBQ meat; arrosticini (lamb kebabs); and simple but delicious vegetables (roast potatoes; mixed salad; beans fresh greens). All washed down with some good local red wine. Overseen by Addio who is very knowledgeable about the area can suggest different walks in the vicinity.

I've been coming from Adio and his friends for more than 20 years, and that's a lot. It is a fascinating and wonderful place. The food is excellent and healthy. The farmhouse has spacious apartments and is surrounded by greenery in the centre of the Monte Rufeno Nature Reserve. I can't get more than 5 stars, too bad!

Fantastic, immersed in an old wood in an excellently restored and hospitable farmhouse. Family atmosphere and typical Umbrian cuisine up to max. General eight and perhaps a little too rich selection of wines I was delighted with him We will definitely come to see you.

Simple and relaxing landscape. Politics and very helpful staff. Genuine food, cooked by qualified hands. Limited menu as they cook are only local products. The value for money is right. And definitely recommended
