Bidra med feedbackThis restaurant used to be a Victorian Hotel that has been extensively renovated into a fantastic first-class hotel. The rooms are comfortable, clean, and the food is excellent. The staff are friendly and very helpful. We stayed here for a 5k Park Run and it was perfect - just a 5-minute warm-up jog to the promenade start. I highly recommend this place.
We decided to go for lunch at this restaurant based on its high TripAdvisor rating, but unfortunately, we were disappointed. Our family of five went and only our 14-year-old enjoyed his steak sandwich. We were surprised to find ourselves waiting for 40 minutes, especially since there weren't many other diners at the time.
Room was clean, spacious and warm, staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was personalised and tasty with cereals and juices as additional options.
I visited this restaurant tonight for dinner at 4:50pm, as I had made a reservation for 5 pm. We waited 8 minutes to be seated, but had to inquire with a staff member about our booking. After ordering drinks and food, we waited 45 minutes for our starters. The main courses arrived about 20 minutes after we had finished our starters and the food was mediocre. The teriyaki beef was disappointing, it seemed like frozen beef strips with soy sauce. The total bill for 4 people was £104.60, which is reasonable for a party of 4, but only if the food is good. When I raised my concerns about the poor and slow service with a lady at the bar while paying, she explained that they were understaffed with only 4 employees. She also mentioned that the restaurant would be closing in 2 weeks, so they couldn't afford to turn down any bookings. This attitude towards customers was completely unacceptable. I would recommend finding another place to dine and saving your money.
Food average. Pub is dated and existing on the value of its place on the front. Staff were friendly but the food wasnt great
