Fabulous, small luxury boutique hotel in beautiful Borrowdale. Located in a former gentleman's residence built in the 1920s, with very comfortably fitted bedrooms, the food was superb and the staff wonderfully attentive. Fantastic terrace on which we were served pre-dinner drinks and canapés with splendid views across the croquet lawn and gardens to the valley. Lots of walks of different levels of difficulty from the hotel. Rooms: 5

A great place to stay. The food is absolutely brilliant, served with a welcome enthusiasm and knowledge without pretension. The hotel is also in stunning grounds.

Beautiful place, great hosts and fantastic food. Can't wait to go back! Would recommend for an idyllic countryside break.
