Bidra med feedbackCongrats on the new location, with so much more seating! Just slightly farther for me than your old location, but well worth the drive! Hope you get some street-side signage soon as it is easy to miss on westbound Rasor. Love the deep dish as well as thethin crust.
Update: I am so excited they moved to Plano! I've tried other specialty pizza places, and they just are not the same as Chicago pizza. If you've never had Chicago pizza, be in for a treat! You can get thin crust, deep dish and stuffed pizza. That ChicagoPlace does it right. They are not skimpy on toppings or cheese, and the cheese is real mozzarella, not the weird blends thatsome places use. I was yearning for an Italian beef and I'm so glad I went to Chicago Pizza Pizzeria! Truly the taste of home. Can't wait to pick up a pizza for my friend's pizza party, I'm sure it will beat whatever he's been getting at the place nearwhere he lives. For those of you not from Chicago: the prices are commensurate with those of independent pizzeria in Chicago.Places here are pretty skimpy on ingredients, that's not the case in Chicago!
The service was a bit sluggish, and it seems they're still getting their bearings, but I can easily overlook these minor issues because the pizza is incredible. It’s honestly the best thin crust pizza I've had since leaving Chicago. It remains crispy all the way to the center and is generously topped. I will definitely be back for another visit. EXCELLENT THIN CRUST PIZZA!
Edit: In response to the not-so-great reply from the owners, I've had deep dish pizza in Chicago (as indicated by my other reviews), so I know what excellent Chicago-style pizza tastes like (pictures available). I've also enjoyed pizza in other countries, like Italy and France, where the ingredients and techniques are top-notch. Additionally, my review wasn't motivated by a bad day—I simply wanted to share my honest opinion. Contrary to your belief, my palate and that of other reviewers are capable of distinguishing between mediocre and high-quality ingredients.
When I started this review, I was ready to give 1 star. However, by the time I finished, I settled on 3 stars—not because of the food, but because the wait time was unacceptable. We ordered two individual deep-dish pizzas, and it took over 45 minutes to receive them. On the other hand, I would rate the flavor and quality of the pizza an A. So, when I average the two, I'm at a C (or 3 stars). The pizza was genuinely delicious, but the wait was absurd, especially considering there weren't many people there. If the wait hadn't been so long, I would have given them 5 stars. I recommend calling ahead or opting for take-out. It's definitely worth trying, but not worth waiting so long for such a simple order.
