Mache's Family Kitchen - Alice

In my opinion the food was not good at all. It lacked seasoning, but one thing my food did not lack in was pepper. I had the chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and green beans. The potatoes tasted as if they were from a box and had no flavor at all. The chicken fried steak was tough and had an obscene amount of pepper. I don't know if we went on a day when the cook was having a bad day but we will not be going back to try it again.

Never stopped here before today because the place is always packed with people. I am now wondering why that is. I ordered the chicken pot pie special with a vegetable soup and my wife ordered the chicken fried steak. The soup had no flavor. The green beans were crunchy and the mashed potatoes were from a box. The chicken pot pie was inedible because it tasted like they poured a whole box of pepper in it. The chicken fried steak was just as peppery. We left the majority of the food on the plate. Not returning to this restaurant.

Oh for delicious, great service, so very friendly. Will stop again. Also very clean.

Great place for comfort food. The lunch special was 2 fried pork chops. I has steamed broccoli and carrots, add a salad and drink for under $10 and you get a helluva lunch. Bon-a-petit!

Excellent service and their meatloaf, well all I'm gonna say is mmmmmmm
