Bidra med feedbackWe ate here after a 2 day backcountry canoe trip. The burgers were very good, but the fries were just so so. Much like a McDonald's fry. I would have preferred a chunkier fry that was cooked a little more. They have a good selection of beer from local breweries. One of our favourites, Mad Tom, was out if stock. That was alright as we tried the Lake of Bays Oxtongue IPA and it was excellent. We have had dinner here a couple of times after backcountry canoe trips. It's a good place to talk about the trip we just finished. We will be back again.
Grab a decent burger here! Stopped by on the way through-nice restaurant-excellent view overlooking canoe lake nice gift shop attached for those that like the gift shops I'd recommend stopping by if you're on the way through
Staff was dirty looking and seemed quite uninterested in service. Average expensive food. Avoid if possible but not much in here he area
The Portage Store is near the entrance to Algonquin Provincial Park. It is a great place to stop and take in the scenery. There is a little shop and a restaurant overlooking Canoe Lake- great sandwiches. They also rent kayaks and canoes, though catering to the daytime tourists and therefore costing more than the other rental locations in the interior of the park.
After a day of canoeing you can't beat their food!!!!! We had the burgers and fries as well as a sampling of deserts.
