It is a beautiful historic building, but that's about it. Museum is an inaccurate term the building is almost completely empty, a shell, with three artifacts scattered around a aging maze of a building. Good for a few insta pics but not much else.
The place is quiet, beautiful and very useful to learn about some of the possibilities of living in Algeria in the old days. the two muses contain stones, manuscripts, statues, ornaments and war tools that have used the people in the last centuries. next to some beautiful mosaic pieces.
The Museum is quite and neat. There are interesting findings concerning Algeria and Africa as Prehistoric as Modern ages with well written French and English information, even if there could be English one with more details (as a comment). I've got also a small problem when downstairs the air conditioning was out of service, but as the kind Museum staff said that was only temporal. Overall, I recommend everyone to visit this little piece of pearl in Algeria that costs real economic, but holds great value.
The main section of the museum is small and intriguing, but the heart house at the end is absolutely stunning and was the highlight of my visit to Algiers. The information is only available in Arabic and French.
