Elies Dafnes Seafood Tavern

Very good restaurant and very friendly management and staff. The food was excellent and my highlight was the 3 coloured Tarama. They have a lot of seafood but also offer a lot of dishes for other tastes. I will definitely recommend this restaurant and visit again.

Passion and good taste! A special experience, food cooked with soul, good taste and good plating. We felt pampered to the fullest by the restaurant owner. An excellent choice in the Alexandroupoli area. A must see!

Very pleasant evening! Food is delicious (stuffed squid is my recommendation i think it was 12€; picture attached) and prices are reasonable. Staff is very friendly! Guestroom is well decorated and bathrooms are top notch. I highly recommend you visit!

Best octopus in town! Very cosy, great service. The 3 coloured tarama was out of this world. The grilled octopus in olive oil is a must.. and what olive oil!!! The grilled calamar on bkack tzatziki was also perfekt. Super tasty! White wine was ok, they offered us an extra half a litter!

Complication: I’m vegan. Yeah, trying to eat vegan in this town ain’t easy. But it’s possible! In this restaurant, I had a “twisted aubergine” dish which was absolutely delicious (would give that one 5 stars), and then the fried vegetable chips and fried peppers were more like 2 stars. They were fried and covered in batter (which I’m not convinced was egg-free... I’m not sure they understood that vegans don’t eat eggs). Very heavy dish for what should have been just some nice veggies, as the batter soaked up the fat and basically meant I was eating mostly oil and flour, with a bit of veg for taste. That said the service was friendly and helpful (though the place was empty). And probably if you like meat and fish it’s a great little restaurant.
