The Italian Place - Alexandria

Very disappointing. The food looks nothing like the pictures. I’m visiting from Baltimore, Maryland and was so happy to see an Authentic Italian Store. The pictures on Google show a crispy crust pizza with fresh ingredients. We ordered 2,8 inch mini pizzas. One with pepperoni, mushrooms and meatballs. The other had cheese. The pizza had a hair on it , but I picked it off and was just going to eat the other pieces. But the crust wasn’t even cooked, it was raw. The mushrooms were straight from a can. As soon as I picked a piece up all the toppings just slid off. I had hope for the half Cesar salad, but nope, not good either. The croutons were soggy and parts of the lettuce were brown from just sitting premade in the fridge. Come on guys! You can do better!

I was really disappointed with this!!!Ordered subs , they had no flavour . So over priced , more bread then meat.I can go to Wegmans and order a massive foot long for the same price and it’s 2x the size. I wanted to give this place a benefit of the doubt , since reading other reviews. But very disappointing

The Italian Place is my go to food spot in Old Town. The food is exceptionally good and authentic. My favorite are the sandwiches and the selection is huge. The service is always quick and the workers are extremely nice and happy. I would 100% recommend The Italian Place. Food: 5/5

Been there in the past and the subs were good. not so much this time. ordered extra toppings, paid for them but weren't on my sub. will most likely find a new go-to place.

I would not recommend purchasing gift cards from this establishment. A friend bought me a $50 gift card, but when I tried to use it, it was declined. The staff gave me a new one, but the same issue occurred. Despite emailing the restaurant about the problem, I never received a response.
