Bidra med feedbackFirst, I want to say that the look of this restaurant is nice, but the food doesn’t match. I had the steak with crispy brussels, and mashed potatoes. The mashed potatoes tasted like instant mash, and the steak was not cooked to order. The Brussels were soaked in an almond sauce.. not good at all. My friend ordered the same meal and neither of us ate it. Our other friend ordered the skillet, and the eggs were just as powdered as they can be, with what seemed to be a watery pico sauce on top. She didn’t eat her food either. My wife had the braised short rib, and they sauced it down, but no flavor in the meat. The waitress didn’t even notice the food hadn’t been eaten and ask about it. Drinks were good, the rye bread was good as well.
This neighborhood restaurant has become our new go to for lunch and now dinner. Great menu (with all day breakfast items), good service, and a great vibe. Reservations are a must even for lunch we've found it's that popular!
So is my second time to Matt and Tony’s- it was as good this time as my first time – I’ll definitely be back!
The food and staff were amazing. The only drawback was that because the interior is 90% hard surfaces, it was very, very loud. As a thirty-something I had to speak with a raised voice the whole time.
I was thrilled to discover this place. The bar was vibrant and well-run, offering fantastic drinks. The cocktails were excellent! The food was also very good. We'll definitely be coming back!
