Kisso Asian Bistro - Alexandria

I?ve walked past this little bistro several times and finally decided to give it a try. So glad I did! It was a chilly evening and started off with the hot tea. It was not strong, but had good flavor and piping hot. For appetizers I ordered the jalapeño yellowtail sashimi and a masago nigiri with quail egg on top. Love love love!!!! One of my favorite sushi experiences. Mermaid roll was AMAZING! shrimp and broccoli was also really good. Everything we ordered here was great. Cute area to walk around as well.

The restaurant always uses very fresh fish, which truly enhances the taste and quality of their sushi. The prices are very reasonable, with most specialty rolls priced under $15 and simple rolls around $7. They have a great selection of Asian beers, including our favorite, Orion. The wine and sake options are also quite good. The dining area is clean and spacious, with plenty of seating, including additional seating upstairs for overflow. The decor and atmosphere are simple. Kisso is always busy, but never too overcrowded.

I visited this restaurant during Restaurant Week 2022 and tried their sushi combo. The sushi was absolutely delicious! I ordered the Fantasy Roll and the Volcano Roll, both of which were wonderful. Additionally, their miso soup was also excellent.

I had a fantastic experience with the bento box at this restaurant! I was pleasantly surprised by the generous portion size. The sushi was also exceptional, particularly the Kisso roll and the Philly rolls. I highly recommend trying them out!
