Le Bistrot - Alençon

We stop on the off chance. To be honest Monday lunch in Alencon and all shops and restaurants are closed it felt like a dead city. Anyway lovely set lunch 3 courses for £17.50. Simple honest food good portions very very French and the atmosphere was great. Place was full. Very clean tidy and the owner and his team were very polite. Thank you guys for a great lunch .

Restaurant was recommended by the owner of the hotel we stayed at. Overall we had a pleasant meal. The restaurant was full, mainly with locals, which gave it a nice atmosphere. Food was tasty and good value and the service was friendly. Would happily eat here again.

Recommended by our host at the chambres d'hote, Frederic, we had a nice meal in this typical bistro in a small side street in Alencon. Good value, an interesting rose wine recommended by our waiter, excellent salad to start. Restaurant was mostly empty which apparently was unusual. but this may have been driven by the heat. Bistro was a comfortable temperature. well worth a visit.

I was looking for a fried chicken, I fell on that pizzeria. I'm not a fun pizza. What was my surprise: a charming and family restaurant, a waitress can no longer be pleasant, full of delicacy, pleasant, a pizza with a fine paste to be desired, a hearty filling with fresh food and a sublime taste.
