Bidra med feedbackI stopped in this restaurant to have a quick bite before exploring Alcobaca monastery. The service was quick and efficient and the spaghetti very good and tasty--and having grown up in Italy I know how to tell a good pasta dish from a bad! So I was pleasantly surprised. Also enjoyed having a nice little chat with one of the women there about the similarities between Portuguese and Italian food.
Had a wonderful monkfish and prawn risotto today for two. Fish delightfully fresh and purfectly cooked and the risotto rice just cooked through. Beautiful flavour of fish and the slight acidic taste of wine, just gorgeous. DD had spaghetti Bolognese and we had to stop her licking the plate it was so good. Service was great with just enough attention to our needs. Highly recommended. Olives to start, fish risotto for two, spag boll, large sparkling water and fresh orange juice in beautiful surroundings €50.
We were two couples, 3 people ordered the tourist menu, 1 ordered grilled Sardines, the serving was only 3 sardines, the tourist menu included a glass of wine...additional glass €4.50 Compared to other Portuguese restaurants it’s was tremendously expensive... Avoid!
This is a wine house with a restaurant, so expect high prices on the wine. Apart from that, the typically portuguese cuisine is very good. Loved the squid à lagareiro and the outside seats. The service was ok, as sometimes couldn 't see anyone to call.
We stumbled upon this great little restaurant entirely by chance. Just back from the monasterio the location was perfect. Locals seem to enjoy it and we did also. Great food nice location with a wine shop attached alongside. A good find.
