The Shrimp Dock – Alcoa/maryville

Ordered takeout! It was absolutely excellent! So very fresh and tasty! All of the staff was very knowledgeable friendly. We will definitely be back! If you haven’t tried it, we highly recommend it!

Came here with my family... and young child. From out of town so didn't know what to expect.Could not have been more satisfied. Friendly staff, quick service and above all delicious food.We ordered the crab cakes, a blackened trout and some chicken tenders for our child.The portions are very generous including the side dishes. Coleslaw, potato salad, hush puppies and the fried okra were all tried and I could recommend any of them.As for the market, I didn't buy anything but the selection available from fish to shellfish, sauces to spices makes me want to come here for food shopping.

Second time I've been to shrimp dock. Quick lesson. Make sure you walk around the counter to the left as well because there's more goodies over there. I have gotten one size down from jumbo shrimp the last two times and made amazing jambalaya both times. Favorite thing that I've gotten from this shrimp dock is their crab cakes. Olive oil in a frying pan, I'd say temperature should be two down from the maximum heat.. Put about an eighth of an inch of olive oil in the bottom of the pan, a minute and a half on each side, and when I say each side I mean try to turn it four times so that you catch all four sides. They come out perfect.The staff is amazing and I am very impressed with the quality of the fish and seafood.

WAY WAY WAY overpriced! $35 for 2 take-out dinners- got 3 SMALL pieces of fried cod, a 3” corn on the cob (looks like it was from frozen package), a SMALL scoop of rice, 1/2 cup steamed broccoli. Will NOT be back

Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. They had a large selection of fresh seafood, and you can order off the menu or choose a piece of fish from the case, which they will weigh and cook how you want it. This is a very casual place. You order at the counter and find yourself a seat. My husband had fried oysters, and I had the shrimp tacos, which were made with little fried shrimp. We both really enjoyed our meals. I would get the tacos again without the remoulade because it was a bit much with coleslaw they put on the tacos. The potato salad was excellent!
