Bidra med feedbackVisited today. Food is good, serving portions are good, beer prices are a little high. The waitress could be a little more friendly/ personable. Good service and a welcoming attitude is what drives your customers to return.
A little jewel hiding in the Old Town area. Awesome Mexican comfort food. You know you have found something when you order tamales and are not disappointed. Great food at a great price. The staff are friendly and the service had been spot on everytime. I make it a point to stop and eat here every time I'm in the area.
The food was quite dull. I was hoping for New Mexico chili but was disappointed to find it served with tomatillo sauce instead.
Absolutely delicious food and amazing staff! I absolutely adore this place!
Confused, I asked what the point of checking my ID was—was it to confirm my age? At that point, the hostess chimed in, stating that they were checking to ensure the ID was valid. I responded by saying I would leave. There was no argument, but I could sense a bit of hostility in the hostess's demeanor. Even though I’m half Mexican and have dark hair (though it’s more gray now), I usually pass for white due to my light complexion and blue eyes. In today’s society, being white can sometimes carry negative connotations. Regardless, I’m 57 years old and could easily be her grandfather. I likely wouldn't have written this if the service had been a bit more courteous. I ended up finding another restaurant nearby where I was treated very well, had a beer with my meal, and thoroughly enjoyed it. After I ordered, I took some time to look up the laws regarding ID checks in New Mexico. According to state code 60-7B-5, an establishment is required to refuse service to anyone who cannot provide an ID as proof that they are 21 or older. I understand this is to verify age, but at 57, there's no way I could pass for 20. Clearly, I’m old enough to purchase a drink, and my picture ID confirms that. However, the hostess seemed to imply that age wasn’t relevant. Whether she was right or wrong, I can’t say, but I decided to give this place only one star. The hospitality could use a lot of improvement.
