Famous Dave's B-que - Alameda

First time visit on a Sunday with the family, despite being told it was a 10-15 minute wait when there was no one else in line and several visible open tables, we were extremely satisfied with the food and service from Famous Sara. Definitely a new favorite! BBQ nachos were great as well as the meal for 2 (3 people ate off this and we still had leftovers)

It is not very often that I give a five star rating to a business. They are far few and in between. My husband and I were invited to come in for Famous Dave's soft opening last Saturday (6/11/2016). The meal was complimentary with the exception of Famous Dave's margarita. Neither my husband nor I have ever dined at a Famous Dave's. I have already posted my 5-star rating of this restaurant and posted several photos on another website (yelp). Today we returned for the grand opening for take-out lunches. The owner greeted, acknowledged and engaged us in conversation. Wow, did we feel special! Kudos to all the employees of this restaurant for being very helpful and pleasant. I am not only impressed with the customer service but also the quality and portion of the meals. My eyes were big as saucers when I saw the Feast for Two being displayed, along with the Famous Dave's cookbook. Compared to another BBQ franchise that was here in Alameda at the Southshore Shopping Center, Famous Dave's presented a more organized approach in dealing with the customers and having top level management employees present training and guiding the new employees sure helped out a lot. The quality and the variety of the food is superb. No disappointment so far. I know there will be more returned trips to enjoy not only the food but also the outstanding customer service. This restaurant is indeed a welcome addition to Alameda Landing.

Great friendly service, fast, delicious food and very clean! I'll definitely be back! Highly recommend it if you love BBQ! The burnt ends were amazing.
