Crispian Bakery - Alameda

My high school buddy brought me a bag of their granola last week. I’ve never seen granola get consumed so rapidly at my house. It’s fabulous. I want to move back to Alameda! Wish they shipped, but realize it’s a small batch bakery.

This is a bakery! !! I've been ten times in six months. Delicious, everything from the oatmeal cookies to the granola. Holy cow, Never in years have we had this quality. Outstanding

A mistake made me a huge fan of this bakery… I went to pick up a surprise birthday cake for my boyfriend at the designated time –just before closing. When I ordered it a few days before Christmas, they also had received about 45 Christmas buche de noel cakes that day– but when I went in a few hours before the surprise party, my order had been lost. I told them not to worry, as I can only imagine how stressful making all Christmas orders must have been. I would go to Safeway and get a premade cake. But... the owner was devastated, and his wife/chef equally as upset. It was closing time on Sunday afternoon, 2 days after Christmas, and the chef insisted on coming in and making the special orange chiffon cake for my party. Not only did she do this in just a couple of hours, they delivered it to my home! They went above and beyond the call of duty, and I was so impressed with their customer service and professionalism. Not to mention that the cake was divine! My friends were all impressed. I am a total fan of this very special bakery, and highly recommend them. Their breads and desserts are of the highest quality, and the husband and wife team who own it are awesome! Thank you Crispian Bakery for coming to Alameda!

Excellent products, so delicious and fresh. Lemon tart is an absolute favorite.
