Great Serbian comfort foods exquisitely prepared which tastes just like Grandma made. I enjoyed the Chicken Paprikash with dumplings and my wife had the Giblets and Dumplings dinner. Just a perfect meal. Service was great. Very clean restaurant. We need to return soon!

I was in town for work and this place was recommended, so we (3 colleagues and I) went for dinner. The meals were just okay, but the desserts were exceptional, especially the strudel. We wound up getting more strudel for carryout the next day.

I haven't been to the New Era for many years! I used to meet my Mother for lunch there, back in the late 60's and early 70's! She worked at General Tire, just around the corner (at that time, before moving the Research Lab to Gilchrist Road). It was justas I remembered, absolutely amazing! Service, perfection, and cleanliness!

First time visit. Ordered chicken paprikash to go. Was watery with little flavor. Chicken so overcooked bones were completely separated. Home fries were equally bland. Bread was good. Strudel wasn't as it has cabbage? Looked it up and yes, Hungarianrecipes allow. On a positive note everything was packaged well.

This restaurant is a bit away from the beaten away, but it is worth the trip. they have German and American foods, daily specialties and great homemade desserts. the chicken paprikash is their specificity, and they get either apfel or a cheese strängel with their paprikash dinner. the prices are much for all food they get.
