Irish Murphy's Fish And Chips - Akaroa

A very busy little fish and chip shop with a rustic outdoor seating area. Pricing here is quite high, especially compared to city pricing. The burgers are the best value items on the menu and incredibly filling. Your looking at about $10-$15 for a burger. And $16 for Akaroa Salmon

Best quality fish and chips in Akaroa. We tried the others and keep going back to Murphy's. Fish fillets are caught fresh, are larger and nicely battered. Chips are good too. Best to take your order down to the waterfront and enjoy there. The outside seating at Murphy's isnt the greatest.

Loved the salmon. Definitely a must try. Its crispy on the outside yet soft on the inside. They serve fresh fish everyday. Arguably the best fish chips restaurant in New Zealand. Its about 5 mins walk from the main street. Quaint place with some outside seating when weather permits.

My partner and I have been to fish and chips stores all over New Zealand and we did not expect to find the best one here in Akaroa. Freshly caught fish, cooked to perfection, reasonable prices and generous portions! Recommended if you're in Akaroa

Amazing fish and chips! Huge portions and the quality was excellent. They catch their own fish and only serve it fresh never frozen. Chips are fried to perfection. This place is excellent.
