Texas Cafe - Ajaccio

We had luck getting a table in this lively institution. with some behave and tapas we enjoyed the live music. the service was super friendly and helpful

Where do I start? what an absolutely arrogant owner! if I could give this restaurant a minus, I would certainly do that. we went in, the reviews not read first, I wish we had done before, we were literally ordered to a table. of a very angry waiter/owner. his position was horrific. we ordered our drinks 5,50 € for a tiny glass wine, it had hardly a gulp in it and a local beer 5,50 €. we ordered when the owner actually disturbed our order, as he shared with his friends chilli con carne 15,50 €, and a double cheeseburger € 18,00 , and calamari “bites” as starter. we moved tables because the lighting was so dim, I could not actually make up the menu, so had to use an iPhone torch to read it. When the owner finally broke out our starter, he looked very angry and asked why we moved, there was another few in the restaurant that went so it wasn't as if the place was barely tables! . I said politely that I fought to see the menu on the other table because of the light. he murmured a little in French and pushed back to his friends after he had literally thrown the calamari on our table. I stood up and asked him for two more records when he only brought the kalamari out in a court, and yet these were literally thrown over the bar! after fast eating the calamari the word “bites negates the necessary, actually use calamari, it was only pieces of fried fish and tasteless we both decided that we do not stay for the main courses, and immediately stood up, paid for our two drinks and four pieces of essentially “Fritten Fish”, and left. in all my 46 years I never came over a restaurant like that. after the retrospective reading of the other reviews on tripadvisor, it seems a must for the service “quality” of this place, coupled with the eating very bland and cut. not least to say a total misdescription of the actual element that is quoted on the menu! if they are in this opposite are the prospects beautiful as it is about the sea, but there are many other restaurants here, such as casa pizza, go here and avoid texas cafe like the plague!

Everything about The Texas Cafe is unlike ANYTHING Texas. I rarely give a 'terrible ' review but this place deserves it. The food and drinks were very unauthentic and with no flavor. We never received chips and salsa. The service is bad...really bad. There was a...guy and girl working that pretty much ignored us completely. I don 't like to think it was because we are American but it sure seemed like that. Our food arrived cold. Both of our plates were cold. Maybe it was an off night but I would not recommend spending your Euros here.

Quite nice place maybe a bit expensive. I gotta say, those exotic places such as mexican or american are always a bit overpriced, but the quality was very nice so we cannot complain about it. Around 25E each, but we had all the tapas delights,...a big burger and a big sex on the beach cocktail. I recommend it, because the deco was quite cool and the service was very nice.

Tacos au top, qui rempli bien, et super bon. Bon service, plutôt rapide et cordiale. À goûter pour les amateurs de mexicain, je recommande vivement aussi la boisson "Boylan" pour ceux qui aime le coca, c'est tout simplement une dinguerie...
