Bidra med feedbackI think the restaurant must have switched over chefs or changed something to COVID. The restaurant had fantastic reviews on several platforms, but regarding our experience this place was disappointing to say the least. Most of the negativity among the stems...from the sub par food, the actual service was not terrible and the host was actually quite attentive (especially if we are not native speakers). At the beginning the first roasted shrimp cup (essentially an egg roll) was ok, but for the price I would have expected a little more. The part of the meal that was cruel was the duck I had. The duck could have been the worst duck I've ever had, so it's actually painful to chew. My girlfriend had the salmon (a larger egg roll filled with salmon scavengers as shrimps), which was also sub par, but at least she could end most of them. As a rule, there was also a personal Pet Peeve that each course (appearants and Entrée) was served with half of the dish full of salad. We skipped in the desert in view of the poor performance of the appetizers and ducks. I would strongly suggest to get one of the other wonderful restaurants in Aix for your visit, this place is distinct from what it was once. I think our entire meal was ~70 euros if in reality it should have been closer ~20 30 euros for the quality of what was served. The overall rating is a 4 10, but the ambience and service have probably increased it from a 2 or 3.
We checked the restaurant, Lovely Maitre D’, which immediately felt welcome. Help us with the menu (yes we are English!). Nice experience, great food. Take the pig.
This place is great! There are only 4 or so dishes per course on offer, which I find is always a good sign! I had three courses, each was cooked perfectly. Simple and delicious home-cooked French food. Definitely recommend!
This tiny little gem in Old Aix run by father and son exceeded our expectations. We stumbled upon it, and would have returned again if time permitted. The salmon tartar was delicious, as was my seared tuna steak and accompanying vegetable dishes. Chocolate fondant cake...for dessert was also delicious. The service was excellent, prices reasonable, and seating was available inside or on the street. We chose the latter to enjoy the vibrant street life. I would put this in my Top 10 meals I've enjoyed anywhere highly recommend.
Les plats sont raffinés avec du gout. Le seul point négatif c'est qu'on a un peu attendu mais quand on goûte les plats on oubli le temps d'attenteJe recommande ce restaurant
