Horseman Motel & Dining Lounge

The Horseman Motel is a family-owned establishment that is exceptionally clean and much more affordable than other rooms I looked into. The front desk staff are very helpful and if you have any security concerns during your stay, rest assured that this motel is fully equipped with security measures. The restaurant is simple yet cozy. The staff was welcoming and helpful. I requested additional pillows, blankets, and towels, and they promptly provided them. The price was affordable. They even gave me directions to my destination. Overall, I had a pleasant stay and will definitely return and recommend this place to others. Unlike most other establishments, they did not require a credit card imprint.

I worked at this restaurant for 3 months out of desperation. The manager offered me a job and a room in exchange for work. She overworked me, having me work 6 or 7 hours, even 8 hours a day, with no pay and not even $20 for food. She knew I had nothing. The hygiene standards were appalling; they used the same scrub brush to clean the toilets and the tub. They didn't have proper cleaning supplies, only one type for everything. There were only enough towels for each room with no extras, and you only got one face towel on top of everything. I ended up finding a full-time job elsewhere and told her I was leaving. She then asked me to keep working on my off days with no pay. On the first day of work, we went to pay rent, and she has been harassing me and my boyfriend about an extra fee that was never agreed upon. When we refused to pay the extra fee, she refused to give us a refund. After I stopped working for her, she became erratic and aggressive. We even have a video of her losing it, screaming, and swearing. It's truly unbelievable. Just goes to show that she may not be such a good manager after all.

There are numerous issues with this restaurant. The rooms are dirty and disgusting, the staff are lazy and rude. I requested extra towels but was told there were none. The bedding was also dirty. After staying for two days and paying for a month, I asked for a partial refund. I was screamed at, insulted, threatened, and even physically attacked by the so-called manager when I returned to retrieve my belongings. They demanded more money from me, but in my opinion, they owe me $700. Avoid staying here if possible; sleep in your vehicle if necessary.
