Chicken on the Way - Airdrie

For $7 I enjoyed a small box stuffed to the rim with delicious French fries/awesome chicken and corn fritter. Best fast food value

Last visit in Airdrie, it closed before I could make it there. Managed to make it this time with time to spare. I chose this place as I had a chicken craving, and have never tried it before. Everything is deep-fried, to start off, so don't expect a non-greasy food box, etc. Had the chicken tenders, fries, corn-fritters. Tenders were good, chicken was nicely cooked but very plain. Fries were greasy though, and some were pretty soggy. Corn fritters, were... well, corn fritters, but somewhat blah and tasteless. I'd probably come back to try again, but realistically it wouldn't be on the top of my list.

Terrible just terrible. Not even close to the original restaurant on 14th street in Calgary. Dunn family stop selling to people who don't care what they sell. Fires under cooked and chicken has no flavour. Use to be loyal to Chicken on the way but you have lost me with yet another lack lustre franchise.

I have never been disappointed by the food or the staff. To those who say greasy, it is FRIED chicken, potatoes, corn fritters. Never soggy, always crisp. Hands down winner of KFC any day.

This place is terrific. The staff is really friendly and the specials are always great deals. The corn fritters are awesome!
