China Star - Agoura Hills

Vincitore was a restaurant that saw my fiancée on a Facebook Mom Group site and thought we would like it. We decided to try them because it was highly recommended by the group members. On arrival we loved the small yet elegant feeling that the restaurant gave off. Although it was empty, we enjoyed the decor and the atmosphere immediately. Our waiters were nice, but I felt more of the customer service to wish. It just felt flat. Don't make me ring, they were all nice, but the waiters lacked smiles and charisma... something I would expect from the restaurant's decor. Nevertheless, we have placed our order. We started with the Calamari like most of our restaurant visits) and it was okay. The squid was sometimes hard and inconsistent, but iverall okay. For our entree, my wife ordered the linguini pescatore and I ordered the cioppino. I decided to add my Linguini as I like the pasta. Both dishes were great. We enjoyed them very much. I felt my court was overpriced. I say that because, although both dishes were different, they were almost much the same dish. The taste was different, but not so different to taste me about 6 dollars more for my added linguini. We have to admit that her table bread is delicious. Much better than most places we visited. Then we decided to return one week later with the family this time..I ordered the Pescatore again and it was delicious again. You can't say that for the other dishes. My fiancée ordered a mushroom pasta that lacked taste and the carbonara of her mother was not what we expected. In the end we ored the Cannoli for Dessert and for our first ever Cannoli it was not what we hoped. The cream filling was just ok, but the bowl was not edible. It was hard like a rock. We expected this light crispy shell and we have a hard, thick pastries. It wasn't what we wanted. That said, we still enjoy this place for their good atmosphere and options. It could not be our way to place for Italian food, but it is certainly a nice place to sit down and enjoy your dinner with good company. We were only here twice and one day it was great, but the other was just okay. I would give it a 3.5 overall rating, but I would like to give them the advantage that at our next visit is possibly much better so that I will give him a 4/5 stars for me.

My friend loves pizza and bread so well, especially if you order the whole baked bread and tear it piece by piece. I do every job why I am in Sherwood Country Club 3 or days a week average near 100 miles a month as Caddy! Great food and atmosphere. Ambient warm restaurant with classic Italian dishes reminds of original food in Italy. Large portions at very affordable prices.

Visit from the state and had the most beautiful experiences. Great food and probably the best server I've ever had. I wanted to remember his name. He's a nice Spanish man. Give us the most amazing culinary experience.

The food was delicious and the service was extraordinary. We were looking for a good pasta place as we are from out of town and we found this Gem. Strongly recommend the Lobster Ravioli or the Fusili Scampi. Our server even brought my daughter a little cake for her birthday.
