Food is very good. I had seafood pasta and I enjoyed it very much.
Very nice point of fall away from the restaurant of the port. A beautiful view of the bay and a quality kitchen.
Very good establishment, very professional staff, varied dishes and excellent
I am staying close to this restaurant and walk past it every day so I decided to pop and give it a try to gauge if I wanted to stay for the Greek Night they had been advertising. No offence, but I have definately had better customer service experiences than this during my week long stay in Crete, dining in various places and to be honest this is probably the worst dining experience I have had in a long time. I didn't really like the way I was treated from the get go but I put it down to the fact they were readying themselves for a big night. The waitress just seemed short and I felt like they were waiting for everyone to arrive for this night rather than try to enchant me at my little table for one (I am travelling alone . She asked where I would like to sit in this practically empty restaurant except for one big group and I pointed exactly where she pointed at the table at the front of the restaurant as one of its big selling points is that it over looks the bay but she told me it was reserved and so I asked if I could sit at the next one in and she said yes. When I sat I couldn't see a reserved sign on it... but could on many of the others. I have to say that the Ceaser Salad I ordered was lovely. Compliments to the chef. The pitta bread also served with it was amazing. I was impressed with the food. When I finished though, I was waiting for ages for someone to come and take my plates. I was still going to stay until this very long wait. I was even going to order another drink but after this I just honestly felt I would get better treatment elsewhere. At first I put it down to them looking after everyone else slowly arriving for their night but I also noticed the small group next to me seemed to have finished and were being ignored as well. Also they had three staff waiting tables and I have witnessed one waiter better take care of around the same amount since I have been in Crete. Finally one of the staff noticed my penetrating stare and sent the waitress from inside (where no one was seated, perhaps she had been assisting prepare food? . She asked if I wanted anything else. I said no, I would just like the bill please. She said wouldn't I like to stay for Greek Night? I said no thank you. This was the first time anyone had mentioned they had a night on or tried to charm me to attend. She took my plates and went inside. She didn't return with the bill but with a dessert. I asked what is this? I didn't order dessert. I wanted the bill. She said it is a treat from the restaurant. I said thank you but no thank you. I just want the bill. She took the dessert and brought me the bill. I wanted to pay with card but she only then told me they accept cash. Fortunately I had just the right amount but I do strongly feel this should be told to you from the beginning. Every other restaurant I have been in accepted card and this one served lobster. I couldn't believe they didn't accept card. She didn't bring me my change either and there is no way I would have chosen to tip by this point. In short, I feel like all the waiting staff need a lesson in customer service because it is that and that alone that will harm their business. Honestly I would have stayed had I not been treated so poorly. It just felt like they didn't give a damn about me because I was a small table and then when they realised I had stayed close to the beginning of their big night, tried to trick me into staying. No. I am afraid manners win over a free dessert any day. I can understand they were worried about the night but to be frank that isn't my problem. When it is your profession you have to whack your face on (I also work in hospitality . Sorry for the long review. Just visit at your peril. X
