Jack's Restaurant - Agassiz

We had an excellent meal out on the patio in the evening on a Tuesday night. I had the fish and chips with a side of vegetables. We also had excellent service.

This restaurant recently changed hands again, so we thought we'd give it a try. Sadly, it can be summed up with our beer-on-tap refill. My husband dropped his olive pit (Greek salad intro) into his empty glass. The same glass came back, refilled and complete with olive pit effervescing from the bottom! The rest was downhill from there...undercooked vegetables, starch-laden entree...

We had just left Harrison Hot Springs and decided to stop for breakfast in Agassiz. We found they were filming a movie at Jack's restaurant in the afternoon, but it was still open for breakfast. We had the simple bacon and eggs, it was cooked just right and the price was right too. It's a nicely decorated restaurant and the bathroom is very nice too, these little touches aren't usually found in a small place like this. I would definitely go there for breakfast again.

Dropped in there for a bit to eat with my wife. We got seated right away, but pretty much had the menus slammed down in front of us. The servers barely gave us time to look at the food menu before they started asking what we wanted. 3 times we had to ask for more time. They were just as pushy with the drinks , 3 times we ordered drinks only to be told what was on the drink menu was not in stock.When we tried placing are food order we where informed twice that they didn't have it.We finally managed to place are order ,when are wings arrived it came with NO side plates, we had to ask for dressing for the wings, because it came with none .When are meals came out we again had to ask for salt and pepper because the table was not properly set. When we asked the server, she gave us a look like we where bother some.

We had dinner here Friday night and then lunch on Sunday. Both meals were really good. The service was fantastic and the quality of the food was really good. Many restaurants could definitely learn something from this place. I had lasagna one visit and it was excellent. I had beef dip one meal and it was fantastic. the food was hot and fresh, did not disappoint. Everyone in our party of four, both times, were all happy with the service and the quality of the food.
