Bidra med feedbackI went here for lunch with a Friend who was visiting from interstate. I had the beetroot quinoa patty burger. It was very different flavour wise to other burgers that I have had in the past which was a nice change. I look forward to returning and trying more things from the menu :)
The burgers are good quality but on the small side for the price. Plus fries are extra and pricy, so your burger and fries ends up being relatively expensive.
Much better than other burgers I've had. Nice juicy patty and plenty of fillings on a thick bun. The Taxpayer worries less about being hip and more about great burgers.
Surprisingly one of Poppy's favourite burger joints in Adelaide, whenever Poppy goes to The Taxpayer he cannot help himself ordering the Al Capone! In true recognition of Poppys Italian lineage. The patty is always bursting with flavour, the melted mozzarella delicious, the pancetta amazing, balsamic onions to die for. Prices are reasonable too. Definitely definitely recommend heading here and trying their burgers. They are surprisingly good for a pub/bar/burger joint. Thumb up, must eat!
I was slightly disappointed with the meals we ordered - Wesley Snipes and Al Capone with sweet potato fries and onion rings. The Wesley Snipes burger was pretty standard and was loaded with salty smokiness which made it difficult to taste the individual ingredients. The balsamic onions in the Al Capone burger were too sweet. The onion rings were disappointing in that all I was getting was heavy batter (*correction crumbed) and barely existent onion. The main highlight were the sweet potato fries with (runny) aioli - they had a nice balance of crunch and softness. The only reason I would return is to get the sweet potato fries to take away.
