Tandoori Hut - Adelaide

This place was terrible, bad quality, old tasting chicken, that was hard and chewing and no taste at all in each of the dishes. The person who took my order was also not excessively friendly.

We were the only diners this night, but the service was attentive, and the food... We thought it was the best Indian we ate, and we ate a lot. The aromas of Rogan Josh Tikka Masala were excellent as the colored rice...Buttery Naan bread. Oh, yes, BEST value also in tow. A definite revisit on the next trip to the city. Yummo!

I ordered lamb shafts from the menu that goes through the recommendation of someone in the previous review.... what a mistake! You basically have a frozen piece of shaft (which was still icy from inside) with a very strange and terrible tasting sauce, something similar to... a chili Mayo sauce that you get at the supermarket. When I complained to the waitress about it, she told me that she'll get the cook to talk to me. The cook could not be disturbed to get out and waitress reheated my dish in microwave explaining that frozen juices was a normal thing and that the cook had freshly prepared the sauce.... what a lot of **** because the sauce tasted like hungry Jack Chili sauce! As Indian I can tell you, this must be one of the worst and most fake (if that is a word) Indian I had. That's clear.

In the apartments next door and for convenience, always have clear of Indian restaurants, food was fresh and really pleasant. First, the young waitress did not have a very good training and did not seem to be big... English, this caused problems both in ordering and billing. Would like to return.

This is a big place, but it really is very empty, which makes it look unattractive. I came here and had a very decent curry, but it was difficult to get the wine I wanted, as apparently they advertise a lot of things they don't...actually hold. I get the impression it's a popular spot for takeout, but it should be doing better, considering it is right next door to a big university building.
