Bidra med feedbackI have visited Empress many times in the past. However, tonight I received terrible service. When I called the restaurant, I was verbally abused by the supposed 'owner'. I will never be going back there again. Would you eat at a place like this?
This restaurant is great with comfortable tables. Our party of 7 was easily accommodated at a spacious round table with a rotating center, making it convenient for sharing dishes. We enjoyed their banquet menu, which featured excellent food. The service was outstanding, and there was plenty of parking available at the back of the restaurant.
6 nights in Adelaide...ate at Empress twice, it was so good. We ordered beef cheeks (tender and tasty) and long beans (yum) with rice. Second visit- 5 spice tofu- excellent, Empress noodles with vermicelli on request- really good, and long beans again. Service is efficient, staff are exceptionally professional and kind. An absolute winner.
Food is ok however every time our group go for dinner the lady who is behind the counter with the short dark hair is so rude. We spend so much money at this restaurant I was 5c short and she was waiting for someone to pay 5 cents for me before we left. I don’t mind paying but can’t stand greedy restaurants. I won’t be back for this reason. The bill was $400 unbelievable.
Empress Restaurant is a traditional Hong Kong-style restaurant. We came to try their yum cha on a Thursday morning. I would recommend booking in advance if you can pinpoint the time as Yum Cha is usually busy. They also offer more Chinese meals in the evening. I have to say that this restaurant tastes really good. This is one of my favourite restaurants in Adelaide, great food, friendly staff and you will definitely enjoy your time here!
