Abita Roasting Company - Abita Springs

Been here several times and it never disappoints. Service was tip-top and the food was on point as always. Love this place. Definitely a “go-to” for any occasion.

Great place right on the river front in Madisonville.

Whenever I visit our daughter/son in law who live in Madisonville, we go for coffee, lunch, etc. Great place, awesome view, on the river, great service/atmosphere. My favorite place when I’m there!

I had been to this place many times for afternoon coffee but never for brunch. I must say awesome awesome brunch coffee atmosphere even though it’s a little crowded it was just a total overall wonderful time!!!

I picked up several different coffees on my trip back to Houston. The Abita Roasting Co. Reserve Blend Round-A-Bout is not very good. The smell is reminiscent of burning tires and the roast is over on the dark, over roasted spectrum. It is not a pleasant coffee to drink straight as a drip coffee. I tried several different grinds, and tried it in my V60, Kalita and the Chemex without any success in making it drinkable. I tried diluting it a bit to change the tds (to mimic the adding of milk that most people do) but it still isn't great. I guess this one is destined for the compost pile.
