Luke's Cafe - Abingdon

I had lunch at Luke's. I tried the hot dog special, which was brilliant and quite imaginative. A bacon wrapped dog, deep fat fried, covered in a bunny with a really good chili, sauerkraut, cheese, onions, tomatoes and jalapenos with aloli. Can only eat with a knife and fork. Delicious! homemade chips and this lunch was perfect. I definitely come back to Luke's. Great place, great staff.

OMG!!!! what a surprise! We came all the way from Elizabethton, TN for the plant fair and wanted to eat a nearby place that was not a chain (we HATE chain restaurants) and googled cafes and guess what came on LUIKE's. The great critiques did not do justice. It was so much more. It was a great atmosphere with the absolutely best waiting staff, I got the grilled chicken salad special. It had all kinds of treats in every bite of salad. I even had a piece of chicken to go with my last bite of salad. my dinning mate got the homemade cream of mushroom soup and sweet potatoes fries. the soup was cream and made her soul very happy. the pommes were perfect for my paleo diet. they were crispy and soft and super tasty. and all good prices. Can't wait to visit again!!!

Finally, the opportunity to taste the dinner at Luke's last night... fantastic, I had the Cajun Pasta dish and my husband had a hot dog (packed in bacon) and her hot club sandwich on sourdough. ... oh my... portions were more than you could eat at a meal, everything was delicious, service was wonderful and informative. This will be a place for us now....

The food was fantastic! My daughters chose Pasta, but they ran out. Instead of asking us to order something else, the staff ran out and got more. We just waited a bit, but it was worth it. The servers were also very friendly. I recommend this place!

I absolutely love this place. Great food and a really neat atmosphere. This is one of Abingdon's best kept secrets!! If you go and need a recommendation, try their meatloaf or their marinated burger(my favs) both are delicious!!!
