Bidra med feedbackBy far, the best views of any restaurant in Carmel. I’ve not had their full dinner yet, but I’ve dropped in for breakfast several times and am never disappointed. And I’ll drop into the Sunset lounge for a great burger and garlic fries or a salad regularly. It’s not very expensive at the Sunset lounge and is so relaxing and beautiful, I feel like I’m on vacation….at home. When I get the opportunity I’ll always try to snag their happy hour. It varies in price and offerings, but right now from 2-5 weekdays it’s 30% off the Sunset Lounge food, and select wines, beers, and cocktails. It’s hard to get a better experience for the price on the Monterey Peninsula.
Their manager who encounter the guests was so rude!! We had the worst experience in US. Although we checked webpage, opentable, yelp;we could not find anything related to their pet policy. Therefore, went together with our toy poodle. When we arrived at the restaurant their manager did not let us in. I explained that I am pregnant and having psychological difficulties and cannot leave my dog.She told that emotional reasons are not accepted. We told her that it is 8 pm and we will not able to find any restaurant anymore. She was still so determined not to let us in. In the end, she convinced to let us thanks to host woman at the welcoming desk who convinced her. But she in purpose put a table near to kitchen which doesnt have a view!!! The behaviour was unacceptable to a pregnant who is hungry and having difficulties!! Never recommend. There are way better places.
Our first time visiting the restaurant. We were seated by the window which made our brunch even more spectacular. We had Point Lobos Dungeness crab benedict and California benedict. Everything was seasoned perfectly with the right amount of salt and acid. Even the potatoes were done to perfection sprinkled with salt, scallions and parsley. The prices were reasonable considering the location and the quality of food. The service was professional, yet personable. We look forward to going back there again soon.
If only the food was as wonderful as the view. Our waiter was nice but very pushy. The younger fellow was attentive and more understanding. Drinks and the food do not merit what my wife and I spent. Parking: Good luck, valet is the best option.
This place is criminally underrated. The view and food are fantastic, and the wood fire leaves a unique aroma.
