Bidra med feedbackThis charming tea room offers delicious freshly baked treats and a wide selection of drinks to enjoy. It's a perfect spot to visit before catching a train, but equally convenient even if you're not.
The staff at the restaurant were friendly, but their skills may be better suited for other roles. Unfortunately, the table cleaning was subpar, with only half of our table being cleaned. In the midst of Covid times, this was concerning. I ultimately had to clean the table myself with the provided products. The service was slow, with a forgotten order and mediocre soup. Apparently, the cook had left and they were in the process of finding a replacement. The milkshake was unsatisfactory and could have been better if made at home. The only positive aspect was the friendly demeanor of the staff. Ultimately, we were not charged for the food due to our dissatisfaction. My advice would be to use better quality bread, even if it is pre-packaged, to enhance the dining experience. Despite the disappointing food, the museum visit was enjoyable.
I went to the restaurant today for lunch with my Mum while we were visiting the craft fair at the Heritage Centre. This was my second visit, and once again I was impressed with the food. My egg sandwich on brown bread was delicious, and my Mum enjoyed her bowl of scotch broth and coronation chicken sandwich. My large latte was tasty and served hot. However, my only criticism is that the white plastic tablecloth was very dirty, covered in coffee stains and crumbs. Despite this, the food was still good. We had to use our menus to cover up the worst of the stains, and my napkin had to be placed on top of the crumbs. It's disappointing that this issue has not been addressed since my first visit in June 2019, as it could detract from the overall experience of dining at a place with such decent food.
My Mum and I dropped in past one Saturday to visit the Exclusively Highlands Craft Fair and have a wander round the exhibits. Some interesting bits and bobs upstairs to look at. Decided to have some lunch and got a wee table in the busy café. The mushroom soup was very tasty and there was loads of cheese in the half sandwich I had with it. My one criticism while the lacy table cloths looked pretty and old fashioned the one at the table we were at was filthy from previous occupants, stained and covered in crumbs and sugar. Maybe think about wipeable table cloths or glass tops on the tables? A decent meal for a decent price. The cakes looked yummy too.
Great Coffee shop. Really good coffee and a beautiful, soft , warmed raspberry and blueberry scone. Really good service. A must visit when in Inverurie.
