The Arches - Aberdeenshire

We visited on Sunday evening for a special occasion having not visited for a very long time. We were pleased to find the Hotel fairly busy with downstairs dining room lounge full with what was probably a large group. We were slightly early so we went in the bar for a drink, it was friendly and we were served efficiently. The Dining Room itself is upstairs which might put the less able off but I believe the same menu would be available in the downstairs lounge if you asked for it. The ambiance of the Arches Restaurant is pleasant, it’s all a little old fashioned but it’s in character with the building, the Restaurant was about half full. The service was good, friendly, efficient, the food was lovely and reasonably priced. We will definitely be returning soon, recommend.

Came here for dinner however the food was awful, poor dated decor and no social distancing measures in place whatsoever. Strongly recommend giving this place a miss!

Went for lunch, a bit anxious re restrictions etc. Nice selection of lunches and what we had was of really high quality. The service was excellent and we felt really well cared for. I would definitely come back.

Nothing has been done to make the restaurant disabled access such as a stair lift this an hotel. what do the residents manage

Visited here recently and what a superb find. Excellent menu with plenty choice. Good quality ingredients also good helping. All freshly cooked to order. This is what good country cooking is about. Service was also excellent. Looking forward to to a return visit in the near future.
