We visited the Sally again for a pint and a coffee as the bar in this small establishment is nice and the refreshments are of good quality. The barmaid was cheery and welcoming which was nice. We will be back.
The Sally is great for a drink, the locals always speak and if you want something to eat the food is made on the premises and is usually of a good pub food quality, service can be a bit slow as the food is cooked...to order.
We just called in for a drink while staying on campsite for night and were immediately given a very warm welcome from the locals and staff alike.Good nips as well!! We decided to eat after kitchen had shut but they very kindly worked...on and we had a curry which was excellent.Lots of lovely food on menu.We will be back soon.
I have lived in Bervie for many years but had never been to the Salutation Hotel until recently. I won a meal voucher in a school raffle and decided to use it for a meal with my husband and son. The dining area was small but cozy with only a few tables. The menu was extensive, and there were also daily specials available. My husband and I ordered the steak pie, while my son chose the hamburger and chips from the kids' menu. The only downside was the long wait for our food to arrive (around 30 minutes), but the wait was worthwhile as the food was well-presented and delicious. For dessert, my husband and son enjoyed strawberry sundaes. The overall experience was excellent, but I would recommend not visiting if you are in a hurry. It is advisable to make a reservation, especially on weekends. We definitely plan on returning in the future.
