Bidra med feedbackI and my partner visited this hotel for a nice two nights. Upon arrival we were greeted by beautiful reception staff who checked in and answered all the questions we had. Room was nice, I have no complaints about it because it was clean and well maintained. The spa was very nice; not luxury, but definitely a perk of stay at the hotel. We visited the restaurant on a Sunday night, and it wasn't busy at all. The menu was very simplified so it was relatively easy for the servers to know. There were some substitutions on the menu due to stock issues that were not known to us at the time. My partner ordered a certain head because it was the only one with a page he can have. The main thing comes out and his side had the point that he can't have. It turned out that there were problems and replaced them without informing them. I would have felt it best for the waiter to tell us about it because it had made a difference. Or was proactive to let us know what is not available at all when communicating with us. I feel as if the staff need a little more training, as well as more efficient and accommodating (if possible). Would stay at the hotel again, but would not participate in the restaurant.
I recently visited the Ardoe House Hotel Spa and unfortunately, my overall experience was quite disappointing. I had booked a suite to celebrate my daughter's birthday and create special memories for her and her mother. While the location of the hotel was convenient for access to various activities and destinations, several issues significantly diminished our stay. One of the main concerns we encountered was the lack of cleanliness in the room. Upon check-in, we immediately noticed hair in the drawer, which was unsettling. Additionally, we found stains on the furniture that made us question the room's cleanliness. The most shocking discovery was finding underwear under the dressing table that belonged to a previous guest. This was an unacceptable oversight by the hotel staff. When I brought these cleanliness issues to the attention of the reception, I expected a prompt response and resolution. Unfortunately, despite multiple reminders, no action was taken for three hours. This lack of urgency was very frustrating and impacted the quality of our stay. Ultimately, I had to escalate the issue and speak to a senior manager in order to get the situation addressed. Considering the amount I paid for the suite and the special occasion it was meant for, this entire experience was disheartening. The lack of cleanliness and the initial indifference of the hotel to rectify the situation were extremely disappointing. Such oversights are simply not acceptable for any hotel, especially one with a reputation like Ardoe House Hotel Spa. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I cannot recommend this hotel for future visits to Aberdeen.
Overall, we had a pleasant stay. The dinner was enjoyable, although the drinks were a bit overpriced. There was a good selection for breakfast, ranging from cooked options to continental. A special shoutout to the spa team, who were all friendly and welcoming. I particularly appreciated the young blonde lady who was informative while I was swimming, as well as the young man who diligently cleaned the pool floor. It is evident that they take good care of their facilities. We will definitely be returning!
We had a lovely stay at this nice hotel. The grounds and location are beautiful, and the rooms are stunning. The breakfast was excellent, and we enjoyed using the fantastic pool and jacuzzi. However, the only downside was the staff. They did not provide the excellent service we were expecting. The receptionist seemed disinterested when checking in, and overall, we did not receive much attention. Despite this, we would still highly recommend this 5-star hotel. Some additional training for the staff could greatly improve the overall experience.
The views and the surrounding is amazing, very calm and quite. We were in one of the suites and to be honest we did expect higher standards. The room was big and the bed was ok but the furniture was very well used, the armchairs and the desk chair really need to be change. The room looked clean but you could see dust in many places as it was clean long time ago, we found a few stings on the sofa,next to the window , the cupboard where the fridge was , it was broken and then we found the Espresso machine fill with water that we did not know how long was there for and they did not even replace the used pot for the coffee. Overall we did really expected higher standards for this hotel and for the suite for the price we paid. Staff was friendly and the restaurant food was ok.
