Bidra med feedbackEating was overpriced and it was not worth, serving are miniskule. the breakfast was overboiled and best warm listened
I could not harm the food or the service it was beautiful. I was surprised that we were in a next room from the restaurant when my man had booked it for a surprise, the most important beautifully decorated room was full when we arrived and I know. the other family had not booked so that it looked like we found tables through the back. Anyway, I had steak and it was perfect with loads of well-proven pommes, I enjoyed it very and the waiter who served us in the bar was friendly, polite and attentive
We were in the hotel, so can be sunk by preference of convenience, but we had a wonderful night. very pleasant meal. I had the goat cheese and steak and husband and terrine and gay. was really delicious that we both share everything to try everything. also a dessert divided! what we shouldn't have done, we were so full. I would go back if I were in the opposite, even if I didn't stay in the hotel. once in a life chance to eat in a building like this. they bring back in time!
To stay in the hotel, we had a set menu dinner included in our price. eating was excellent, great service and good wine list. dining room very elegant, although very warm. we had to change the table twice by heat from open fire, then had heat. next morning and again excellent.
If you fancy dining out in a traditional 19th century country house atmosphere surrounded by magnificent period architecture and antiques, the Tapestry Restaurant at Norwood Hall Hotel will amaze you. Congratulations to Macdonald Hotels for not updating this period gem. It is unique in Aberdeen,...which is not renowned for preserving its heritage buildings! Service upon arrival was efficient and courteous. The Menu is not extensive but provides a good range of locally sourced produce. I ordered a chunky Beef Fillet which was very tasty with the accompanying jus and selection of vegetables. My wife enjoyed Sea Trout, nicely presented with a selection of vegetables. The Wine List is perhaps a little limited, especially in terms of their By The Glass' offering, but the range is certainly comprehensive and we had no problem making our selection. We finished our evening with coffee in The Georgian Bar, again with wonderful period features which will have you checking out the richly decorated walls and ceiling, rather than the other patrons! A lovely experience, and one we can strongly recommend. We'll be back for more!
