Bidra med feedbackWent there something like five times in my six months stay in Melbourne. Good place for a late dinner with friends. The service is not the best and the place is what it is, but the food is not bad and the portions are massive. We didn't like the Pad Thai though, it was too salty and spicy. We loved the curries.
Ying Thai makes the best Thai food that I've had in Melbourne A big call, I know, but I've been there several times and always loved their food.
Thought we would try this place with our daughter to celebrate the end of her study year.Water was given, without any suggestion we might like other drinks. Pad Thai for 1 person ok. Served 1st, when we had ordered a starter of curry puffs, which were ok, but doesn't it come with a sauce? When asked a bottle of something appeared.Chicken curry followed which looked more like a soup without substance. A calamari salad that had more white cabbage on the dish than anything else. The waiter did not return. We have ?? This eatery still waiting the outcome.. My 1st ever.... DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE
I am a lover of Thai food. I think I was a Thai in one of my past lives or something. I tend to try out a Thai restaurant in any city I am in. So I was delightfully surprised when a friend brought me to dine at Ying Thai 2 (Thaiger Rabbit). We ordered the tomyum and pad see eew. Loved loved loved it. Portions were generous and the dishes were cooked true to the authentic Thai style. Generous amounts of fish sauce, palm sugar, lemongrass and shallots peppers each dish. Perfect remedy during the chilly winter months! Oh, did I say I loved the decor as well?
We went here for lunch a few weeks ago. It was the first time we had been here since the move further up Victoria StI had the papaya salad, which was just ok, and wifey had the Pad thai, which also was nothing specialWith so many eating options in this street, we'd be hard pressed to go here again
