Pulpo Y Mas - A Coruña

Visited here while on a cruise stop. The cafe/restuarant has tables out side on a pedestrian street. The man in charge allowed us to sit outside but I did notice he discouraged others to do so asking them to go inside. I think the idea was to make it look as if they had capacity. I speak spanish but for whatever reason this man insisted on speaking English he asked did we like mushrooms the proceeded to bring mussels! The food was good enough but the price was high for a tapas selection. On receiving my change I was 10 Euros short Hmmmm!

We came across this restaurant whilst walking around the city. It has a pleasant and inviting look to it. However, as soon as you sit down the first thing that hits you is the over inflated prices. My partner asked for a glass of wine which lasted a couple of mouth fulls whilst I had a decent glass poured. We asked for a particular dish but were convinced by the waiter that we should order the Solomillo. I agreed to this under the impression that this would be a better dish... What came was what they allegedly stated was a 300g Solomillo steak (I would dispute it 's weight) with chips...nothing else. The steak was sliced to make it look bigger and half the plate with chips. Whilst I cannot dispute that the meat was good it lasted only a few minutes. I refused to stay for dessert! I paid over €70 for a octopus starter (which was not tender and a small portion), 3 glasses of wine and 2 Solomillos. I informed the waiter that whilst the meat was nice we would not be returning to this restaurant which was quickly followed by a statement to the effect of Have you ever eaten Solomillo before to which I was shocked as the answer was yes! many times! If you do not want to be overcharged then I do not recommend this restaurant at all.

We were looking for some traditional Spanish crusine while docked in La Coruna for a day. Even though seafood paella was not on the menu the restaurant made it for us and it was The best I have ever had: huge king prawns, mussels, razor clams full of flavour! We had potato with octopus on a side as well which we also enjoyed! Highly recommended.

Magnificent! a stop service for sea food steak. if they think of halal bark, try it. behavior is very beautiful. I love this shop.
